Norwalk was simply too strong for Sandusky, topping the Blue Streaks 79-41 on Tuesday night in Division I sectional semifinal action at Galion High School.
The Truckers, now 23-0, play Marion Harding (11-11) at 6:15 p.m. Friday in a sectional title game back at Galion.
Sandusky finished its season at 3-20.
Norwalk coach Steve Gray was pleased with the effort and liked the fact that everyone got to play.
“Our goal tonight was to play on this floor,” Gray said. “We could get more out of tonight by playing rather than practicing. The kids like to compete against someone else and they were happy about playing.”
Norwalk ended the suspense early on Tuesday, outscoring the Blue Streaks 25-4 in the first quarter.
Senior Jake Fetherolf dominated the play on the inside, scoring 17 first-half points and 19 for the contest. He grabbed eight rebounds.
Junior Jordan Johnson scored 12 points for the Truckers.
Norwalk led 47-17 at the half and 68-30 after three quarters.
Each team scored 11 fourth-quarter points.
The Blue Streaks were paced by sophomore Deontre Palma with 12 points.
