Friday he was involved in one of the longest opening games on record.

However, the veteran Margaretta girls coach will take this one, a 62-40 victory over Toledo Bowsher in a contest that had just about everything, including two mammoth runs (14-0 and 16-0) by the Polar Bears.

There were 42 free throws attempted in the first half and the Polar Bears trailed 31-30.

It was complete domination by the Bears in the final 16 minutes.

The win pushed Tucker’s career record at Margaretta to 533-188 and followed a 12-10 mark a year ago.

Kelsey Kromer came through with a game-high 27 points for Margaretta.
