The Lady Flyers built a first-quarter lead and made it stand up the rest of the way in improving to 3-0.

Huron fell to 0-2.

St. Paul coach Vicky Mahl was happy to get the win, but said the Lady Flyers have much work to do.

“It’s a W,” she said. “You’ve got to be proud of the kids, but this is the worst game we’ve played all year and I know we’ve only played three games."

Lady Flyer senior Sabrina Schaffer netted 10 points to pace the St. Paul attack.

Huron was led by junior Taylor Rathbun who scored 14 points.

Huron was 16-of-45 from the field, 5-of-10 at the line, grabbed 28 rebounds and had 22 turnovers.

St. Paul shot 18-of-50 from the floor, which included 3-of-5 in triples, had 29 rebounds and 18 turnovers.
