The Norwalk girls’ bowling team capped off its week with another win over Clyde.
The Lady Truckers topped the Lady Fliers 1,826-1,717 Thursday at Kenilee Lanes.
Paige Stuhldreher led Norwalk with a 122-158-280.
Madison Edwards scored a 117-143-260, Saramae Blake 146-99-255, Brenningan Collins 116-91-207, Makayla Hite 113 and Paige Thompson 75.
The Lady Truckers tallied a 1,180 and 646 in bakers.
“This completed a very successful week of bowling,’’ Norwalk coach Ken Broz said. “Madison Edwards, Saramae Blake and Paige Stuhldreher kept us close until we caught fire in the baker games.
“Paige Thompson, Makayla Hite, Brennigan Collins, Jourdan Ludewig and Sydnee Stockmaster bowled well in the bakers when the momentum shifted to us,’’ the coach added. “We really stayed patient and positive during the first game when we missed several makeable spares. Strong, strong finish.’’
In the boys’ competition, Clyde gained two close wins.
The varsity score was 1,584-1,583 and the reserve result 2,168-2,121.
For Norwalk’s varsity team, Wes Dendinger posted a 152-172-324 to lead the way.
Aaron Smith had a 280, Aaron Parker 139, Dan Wilkinson 137, Gavin Pigman 134, Jonah Collins 106, Dylan Dupont 98 and Joe Knudsen 87.
The Truckers posted a 1,305 and 278 in bakers.
Jason Mesnard paced the Norwalk reserve squad with a 180-198-378.
Zach Heald notched a 171-187-358, Dylan Stevenson 207-148-355, Isaac Moore 185-166-351 and Jacob Colbert 134-202-336.
The Truckers had a 1,778 and 343 in bakers.
Norwalk is scheduled to compete at Wellington Thursday.
