Second-half defense lifts Norwalk past Western Reserve

The Norwalk Truckers turned up the defense in the second half and cruised to a 60-36 win over Western Reserve on Saturday night in non-league play at Norwalk High School.

Norwalk remains undefeated at 11-0.

The Roughriders dropped to 9-2.

Norwalk led just 28-23 at the half, but outscored the visitors 14-2 in the third quarter and 18-11 in the fourth to win going away.

Roughrider senior Kevin Boose had 12 first-half points and finished with 12.

Junior Jeff Thomas paced Norwalk with 16 points, including a breakaway slam dunk off a steal in the first half.

Junior Ben Haraway added 14 points.
