The Clyde boys basketball team used a 14-2 scoring advantage in the third quarter to break open a close game and beat Tiffin Columbian Monday night, 56-41.
It was the third game of a five games in nine-day span for the Fliers, who improved to 6-2 overall. Clyde wraps up the rough stretch with a pair of Sandusky Bay Conference games this weekend, hosting Margaretta Friday and visiting St. Mary Central Catholic on Saturday.
In Monday’s win, Derek Gray scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Clyde, while Eric Wiseman added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Colin Gregory scored 10 points, and Collin Rieman had six points and six assists.
