Bellevue, St. Paul, Perkins and Western Reserve all gained playoff spots after the weekend action.

The Redmen (9-1, 4-1) earned the second seed in Division III, Region 10. They will host seventh-seed Elida at 7 p.m. Saturday in first-round action.

The teams met in the opening round last season with Elida claiming a 54-22 win.

St. Paul rattled off four straight wins to finish the regular 7-3, 6-1 in the Firelands Conference and share the league crown with Western Reserve.

The Flyers, as the fourth seed, take on familiar foe Tiffin Calvert in first-round action at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Whitney Field.

Calvert knocked off St. Paul back in Week 2, 34-20.

The Senecas have won three-straight contests against the Flyers.

St. Paul last reached the playoffs in 2009 — the state championship season.

Perkins (9-1, 7-0) grabbed the sixth seed in Division III, Region 10.

The Sandusky Bay Conference champs will make the trek to Champaign County to take on Urbana, the third seed.

The Pirates last made the playoffs in 2009, falling 34-6 in the first round to Tipp City Tippecanoe.

Western Reserve (8-2, 6-1) ended up eighth in Division V, Region 18.

The Roughriders, an eight-seed, will travel to Lima Central Catholic (10-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday to battle the Thunderbirds.

Western last appeared in the postseason in 2010, losing to Hillsdale 47-21 in the opening round.

The complete playoff list can be found in Monday’s Sandusky Register and Norwalk Reflector.
