Monroeville stays hot

Eagles winners of three straight Staff

The Eagles improved to 3-1 on the season with a 47-37 victory over the Fremont St. Joseph Streaks Tuesday night in basketball action.

Monroeville erased a five point halftime deficit with a 17-6 third quarter.

Paige Leitz led the Lady Eagles at both ends of the floor with 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Samantha Reer had 14 points, including a three pointer and Macey Key added 10.

In reserve action, Monroeville held on to win a 24-23 close game over Fremont St. Joe.

The Lady Eagles will host South Central on Thursday in Firelands Conference action.
