OAK HARBOR — Oak Harbor pulled away in the fourth quarter to top Edison 53-40 Saturday in Sandusky Bay Conference girls’ basketball action.

Tiggie Sanabria scored 13 for Edison (1-10, 1-7).

Oak Harbor led 14-5 after the first quarter and 28-18 at halftime.

The Lady Chargers cut the deficit to 34-29 after the third quarter, but Oak Harbor outscored the visitors 19-11 in the fourth.

“Our defense was a big part of the game,’’ Edison coach Tracey Moyer said. “The bench players came in and gave us good minutes. We are slowly, but surely improving and look forward to not just being in games but winning them.”

Edison won the reserve game 50-45.

Megan Dunnavant had 12 points and Kelsey Schuster nine for the Lady Chargers.

Edison is slated to host Western Reserve Tuesday in non-league action.
