Monroeville battled Old Fort in front of a packed crowd at Tiffin Columbian High School on Wednesday night.
But The Lady Stockaders grabbed a 50-45 victory over the Lady Eagles in the second game of Division IV opening round sectional tournament action.
Monroeville ended the season at 13-8 overall.

“We fought hard,’’ Lady Eagles coach Brad Dunlap said. “Give Old Fort credit they shot the ball well tonight.
“We kept preaching to our team to play,’’ the coach added. “They just waited a little too long to get it started."
Old Fort used an 18-10 advantage in the second quarter and 17 points from Mackenzie Ward in the first half to control a 35-25 lead at halftime.
Monroeville opened the fourth quarter on an 11-2 run to bring the score to 46-43 with 40 seconds to play in the game.
The Lady Eagles, however, couldn’t rally for the win.
Paige Leitz had six points during the run and eight total in the fourth.
Ward scored a game-high 23 points for the Lady Stockaders and eight rebounds.
Teammates Jordan Magers and Peyton Miller each scored eight points in the win.
Leitz finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while teammate Samantha Reer had 16 points and seven rebounds.
“It's the first winning season for this program since 2006-07,” Dunlap said . “I’m not saying I'm happy with how it ended, but it was a great year for us overall.
“It’s a credit to the senior class and all the hard work this team put in this year,’’ the coach added. “It's been one of my most enjoyable years coaching."
Old Fort advances to the sectional final in the second game (about 8 p.m.) Saturday.
They will play Tiffin Calvert, which topped Hopewell-Loudon 67-51 in Wednesday’s opener.
