Port Clinton wins sectional crown

Port Clinton and Bellevue grabbed the first two spots in the Division II boys’ district golf tournament Thursday at Sawmill Creek.

Joey Kurtz paced the Redskins with a 77.

Dylan DeWitt led Bellevue with a 79.

Among the individuals qualifying were Margaretta’s Tyler Smith with a 76 for medalist honors, teammate Austin Spicer 79 and Willard’s Matt Cok 80.

Congrats to the Port Clinton Golfers on accomplishing both the SBC title and the Sectional title. I know the hard work that went into achieving these goals. Keep it going, Redskins!
