St. Paul sweeps Mapleton for FC win

Fresh off their No. 1 ranking in the state poll, the Lady Flyers captured a 25-10, 25-6, 25-10 victory over visiting Mapleton Tuesday in Firelands Conference volleyball action.

St. Paul continued its unbeaten streak improving to 12-0 overall and 9-0 in the FC.

Elise Nickoli paced the Lady Flyers in serving at 17-of-18 with 14 points and four aces, to go with her team leading 16 digs in the win.

Sabrina Schaffer was 14-of-15 from the service line with 14 points of her own and a team-leading five aces.  

Monroeville 3, Crestview 0
The Lady Eagles improved to 11-5 overall and 8-1 in the FC with a 25-13, 25-16, 25-7 win at Crestview.

Monroeville’s Samantha Reer was 28-of-28 serving with five aces to go along with 10 digs.

Kaitlyn Brewer was 17-of-17 in serving.

Also for Monroeville, Kylee Kuhlman went 10-of-10 in serve receive with eight perfect.

W. Reserve 3, S. Central 1
Western Reserve rebounded from an opening-game loss to down South Central 17-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-14 Tuesday in FC action.

In serving, Kasey Clouse registered 18-of-20 with 13 points.

Theresa Jackson led the way at the net at 38-of-42 with nine kills.

Leah Chafin set 77-of-78 with 21 assists.

N. London 3, Plymouth 0
The Ladycats swept past Plymouth 25-8, 25-9, 25-7 Tuesday in FC action.

Janessa Kipp led New London in kills with 20 and had a .543 hitting percentage.

Taylor Moody led the defense with 11 digs and no errors.
