Livengood reaches milestone in St. Paul win

The St. Paul Lady Flyers held off a determined South Central squad, 25-21, 25-22, 25-12, in Firelands Conference action Thursday night at South Central High School.

With the win, St. Paul, which is ranked No. 1 in the state, improved to 13-0 overall and 10-0 in the FC.

The Lady Trojans fell to 8-7 and 4-6.

St. Paul senior Olivia Livengood recorded her 1,000th career kill during Thursday’s match. Livengood had 998 coming in and added 16 more kills against SC leaving her with 1,014 in her career, just one behind Amber Welfle, who finished her career with 1,015.

St. Paul was led in serving by Sabrina Schaffer, who was 15-of-15, with nine points and four aces. Elise Nickoli had 20 digs.

For South Central, Anna Hintz had 14 digs and Madison Chandler was 82-of-84 setting, with 19 assists.

Monroeville 3, W. Reserve 0
The Lady Eagles won in straight sets 25-11, 25-16, 25-22 over Western Reserve Thursday in Firelands Conference volleyball action.

Monroeville improved to 12-5 overall and 10-1 in the FC.

Breanna Kramer was all over the court for the Lady Eagles, serving 16-of-17 with three aces, nine digs and nine kills with five blocks.

Monroeville’s Brylie Schafer led the team in kills with 10 and added two blocks.

For Western (11-5, 6-4), Carli Patrick posted 20-of-21 with six kills and Jacqui Mullins added 10-of-13 with three kills.

Crestview 3, N. London 1
Crestview downed New London 28-26, 21-25, 25-22, 25-15 Thursday for an FC win.

Janessa Kipp led the Ladycats 12 kills, two blocks, and 11 digs.

Katie Green recorded 30 assists, nine kills and 18 digs.
