In Wednesday’s Division II district semifinal at Seneca East High School, the Lady Truckers recorded a 25-7, 25-18, 25-12 win against their Northern Ohio League foes.
The win moves Norwalk into the district final.
Norwalk (23-2) is scheduled to face Willard, a five-game winner over Lexington in Wednesday’s second district semifinal at 6 p.m. Saturday with a trip to the regional on the line.
In the opener, Norwalk went from 9-7 to 25-7 with McKenzie Hall serving to ensure the win.
In the third game, Norwalk jumped out to a 12-1 lead, led by the serving of Mikailey Rogers and Moffit.
Norwalk eventually put the game away with a Kelli Weininger kill.
Meanwhile, Willard rallied from a 2-0 deficit to top Lexington 13-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-15, 15-12.
Madison Music had 13 digs and 21 assists to go with 18-of-19 in serving for Willard.
Laura Danhoff posted 18 kills, 20 digs and four stuffs.
Huron 3, Upper Sandusky 0
Huron moved on to the Division III district final after Wednesday’s 25-14, 25-22, 25-20 semifinal win.
Huron will play Wynford at 6 p.m. Saturday with a trip to the regional on the line.
For the Tigers (21-3), Sydney Grendow had 34 assists on 84-of-84 in setting.
Hannah Cantrill went 24-of-27 with 13 kills at the net.
Wynford 3, Margaretta 2
Wynford rallied past Margaretta 17-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-22, 15-13 Wednesday in Division III district tournament semifinal action.
The Polar Bears ended the season at 16-9.
Jessica Napka had 22 digs and 17 kills for Margaretta.
Mikayla Windau chipped in with 16 digs and 17 kills.
