Three area players from teams ranked in the state poll every week this season earned All-Ohio first-team honors it was announced Monday afternoon.
In Division II, Norwalk senior libero Sam Obringer was a first-team selection. Norwalk (26-2) finished No. 4 in the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association poll and will play No. 9 Kettering Alter at 12 p.m. Thursday in Dayton in a state semifinal.
Obringer has 370 digs this season entering Thursday’s match.
In Division III, Huron’s Kat Ferrell was a first-team choice as a middle/outside hitter.
Ferrell finished with 326 kills this season and 885 for her career.
The Tigers (21-4) finished No. 6 in the state poll and lost in five games in a regional semifinal to Columbus Hartley.
In Division IV, St. Paul senior middle hitter Olivia Livengood was also a first team selection. Livengood is the program’s all-time kills leader with 1,177, which is also unofficially 28th all-time in Ohio history.
St.Paul (22-3 )finished No.2 in the state poll, falling to No. 6 Buckeye Central in a district final.
