There wasn't much suspense, as expected, on opening night of the Sandusky Bay Conference Duals at Margaretta Friday.

That should be reserved for today.

Dual favorites Clyde (3-0) and Perkins (3-0) each took care of its opponents in convincing fashion Friday night, and all eyes will be on the head-to-head matchup between the two teams at 11:30 a.m. today.

The Fliers, ranked No. 7 in the state wrestling coaches poll, scored wins over Huron (66-12), Margaretta (54-10) and Oak Harbor (48-21). Meanwhile, Perkins posted wins against Margaretta (52-12), Port Clinton (66-12) and Edison (53-29).

In the most anticipated match of Friday's action, Oak Harbor's Luke Cramer earned a 3-0 decision over Clyde's Chris Moore at 170 pounds.

Moore won the Division II state championship at 170 last season, while Cramer took fourth at 138.

Also Friday, Edison and Oak Harbor each went 2-1. Action will resume at 10 a.m. today.
