Well, it looks like the Browns have thrown in the towel.
Cleveland traded former first-round pick Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts Wednesday for a first-round pick in 2014.
Richardson was selected by the Browns as the third overall pick in the 2012 draft out of Alabama. He rushed for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. In two games, he's rushed for 105 yards on 31 carries.
My initial reaction was that this was a just a huge joke. The news WAS relayed to me by Sandusky Register reporter Andy Ouriel... what else should I expect?
If you're a Colts fan like me, you're probably pumped. This was a great move by Indianapolis GM Ryan Grigson and owner Jim Irsay. After losing leading rusher Vick Ballard to a season-ending knee injury, Richardson will be huge for the Colts, who are hoping to strengthen their backfield. There are still questions on Richardson, he hasn't blown me away yet and staying healthy will be a big factor, but this could be the perfect fit.
This is great for a Colts team that is already plagued with injuries. I knew Irsay would be itching for a Ballard replacement, but I didn't know it would be anywhere close to this kind of deal.
But most of you aren't Colts fans and we want your feedback.
The Browns will have 10 draft picks come April but many fans are furious with the front office for stepping in this soon.
Was this the right move? Where do the Browns go from here? Will you keep watching/attending Browns games this season?
