Huron got a complete-game, four-hit shutout from pitcher Drew Enderle in a 2-0 win over Sandusky Bay Conference foe Oak Harbor, which advanced to the regional tournament last season.
The Tigers (7-12) advance to the district semifinals at Heidelberg’s Peaceful Valley Baseball Complex.
All is not lost for Oak Harbor, which is still in position to win the Sandusky Bay Conference for the first time in 26 years since joining in 1987.
The Rockets can increase their lead to two games with three to go with a win today at Perkins.
Bellevue 3, Lake 2
The Redmen scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning to edge Lake in a matchup of two teams ranked in the Top 10 of the state coaches poll.
Jake Strayer had two hits, including a home run, two runs and two RBIs.
