Divisions I, II district track and field action wraps up

The Division I and II track and field teams concluded district competition Friday.

Area individuals and relay teams brought home first-place finishes.

Here’s the list from the Tiffin and Oak Harbor sites:

Division I (at Tiffin)
Sandusky and Norwalk were at the Division I Tiffin site.

Dorresha Green won two events for the Blue Streaks, taking first in the 100 and 200. Green ran a 12.31 in the 100 and 25.87 in the 200.

Sandusky’s Javion Moore won the 200 in 23.04 seconds.

Freshman Kasey Duncan won the 300 hurdles in 48.67 seconds for the Truckers’ only win on Friday.

Division II (at Oak Harbor)
Western’s Carli Patrick won the 400 in 59.55 and teamed with Tiffany Wampler, Katie Jackson and Amanda Miller for the top spot in the 1600 relay at 4:08.50.

Bellevue’s first-place finishers were Matt Rowland, who set a meet record in the pole vault at 15-3; Sarah Bedell in the 300 hurdles at 46.83; Bedell, Whitney Schalk, Ericka Hosang and Colleen Valko 3200 relay 9:48.71; Marissa Tuttamore high jump 5-0 and Laiken Tester long jump 16-10.75.

For Perkins, the 4x100 team of Dale Irby, Mitch Benkey, Austin Sparks and Bill Fial took first place with a time of 43.25.

Treyvon Matthews led Huron with a first-place finish in the 110 hurdles (14.19). Ryan McNulty posted first in the shot put at 56-11.

Dallas Risner and Stephen Shephard led the way for the Chargers as they teamed up with Luke Pierce and Lucas Wallace for first in the 4x800 (8:10.55).

Port Clinton’s Emaleigh Dunn took the top spot in the shot put at 37-5.25, while Oak Harbor’s Morgan Turnow finished first in the discus at 129-5.
