District tennis and track and field took place Saturday.
In tennis, Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic’s Andrew Linden reached state for the third straight season. He finished third with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Lima Shawnee’s Johnny Rutter for third.
Track and field
Division II (at Fostoria)
Clyde’s Adam Turner won the 400 (49.58) and 200 (22.57), while Ben Wollenslagel captured the top spot in the high jump (6-4) and long jump (20.9.75).
Division III (at Findlay)
Margaretta’s Austin Moore went 6-2 for a win in the high jump.
Division III (at Eastwood)
Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic’s 1600 relay team of Lydia Yeckley, Lindsay Kaatz, Bridget Murphy and Armelle DeRiso won at 4:07.54. DeRiso also took first in the 400 at 1:00.54.
Division III (at Bucyrus)
For the Lady Flyers, Bella Stoll won the long jump, leaping 16 feet, 41/ 2 inches.
The St. Paul girls’s 800 team of Olivia Livengood, Maddie Meyer, Stoll and Lydia Ott finished first in 1:47.24.
On the boys’ side for the Flyers, the 800 relay team of Anthony Ghazoul, C.J. Livengood, Connor Smith and Michael Griffin took first in 1:33.64.
The 1600 relay team of Smith, Griffin, Gabe Dauch and Livengood grabbed the top spot in 3:30.70.
Jack Fisher won the 800 at 2:01.16.
Jon Albaugh led New London with wins in the the 1600 (4:34.29) and 3200 (9:56.85), while Andrew Hopkins captured the top spot in the high jump (6-2).
