Norwalk boys takes second in NOL cross country quad

Norwalk’s Justin Koehn and Sydnie Fetherolf took overall in the boys’ and girls’ races during Tuesday’s Northern Ohio League quad meet at Veterans Memorial Lake Park.
Koehn ran a 17:23 for the top spot in the boys’ race. Tiffin Columbian’s Sam Howard finished second at 17:32.
Meanwhile, Fetherolf outdistanced Columbian’s Kali Fittro 21:06-21:23 for the girls’ win.
Also for the Trucker boys’ team, Spencer Howell took fourth at 18:24; Carl Hokes sixth 18:47; Zane Smith ninth 18:58 and Nathan Nash 10th 19:03.
Jake Kluding at 19:43, Kyle Lang 19:46, Jared Lee 20:02; Nathan Koehn 20:07; Alex Doughty 21:13; Kange Keegan 21:30 and Dylan Sparks 26:09 also competed for Norwalk, which claimed second with a score of 30.
Tiffin Columbian grabbed the top spot with 29 points, Galion was third at 74 and Fostoria checked in with 106.
In the girls’ competition for Norwalk, Carly Osborn ran a 22:21 for fifth; Jessica Warner 17th 25:05; Tanner Murray 18th 25:27 and Jacquelin Warner 25th 26:34. Della Owens at 26:42; Rachael Walton 27:14; Michaela Fish 29:52 and Kara Passeno 33:40 also participated for the Lady Truckers.
Norwalk is scheduled to compete Saturday at the Tiffin Carnival.
