The Redskins remain undefeated after shutting out Perkins 5-0 on Thursday.

In singles play, Chelsea Beck defeated Sarah Sullivan 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 position, while Aubrey Gillman bested Kim Anglin 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 and Morgan McGlothlin defeated McKenzie Streng 6-1, 6-4.

Samantha Griffin and Rachael Szabo bested Keli and Lynze Daugherty at No. 1 doubles 6-0, 6-0, while Haley DeLeon and Amber Peto defeated Taylor Hayes and Jenna Goretski at the No 2 spot, 6-0, 6-0.

"The girls did a nice job of staying focused and remaining on task," Port Clinton coach Jim Greer said.

The win brings Port Clinton's record to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the SBC.

Port Clinton hosts Archbold, Lima Shawnee, Napoleon and Ottawa Hills on Saturday in the Port Clinton Doubles Tournament.

 

SINGLES: Beck (PC) d. Sullivan, 6-0, 6-0; Gillman (PC) d. Anglin, 6-1, 6-0; McGlothin (PC) d. Streng, 6-1, 6-4.

DOUBLES: Griffin-Szabo (PC) d. K.-L. Daugherty, 6-0, 6-0; DeLeon-Peto (PC) d. Hayes-Goretski, 6-0, 6-0.

Clyde 3, Oak Harbor 2

At Clyde, Oak Harbor's two points came from Ashley LaFountain's 6-0, 6-0 win over Spencer Robles at No. 1 singles and Julia Konieczny's No. 2 singles win over Caitlin Nearhood, 6-3, 6-2. Clyde's Amanda Cahill took the No 3. singles win over Katie Melow, 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles play, the Fliers swept Oak Harbor in straight sets. Mariah Bloom and Shelbe Gibson won over Logan Bahnsen and Hannah Birchall at the No. 1 spot while Sara Potts and Maria Gerber defeated Jessica Hymore and Brittlyn Grodi at No. 2.

Clyde hosts Edison on Tuesday.

St. Mary 4, Edison 1

At Edison, the Panthers took all three singles matches against Edison in straight sets.

At the No. 1 spot Armelle DeRiso defeated Mallory Kiley 6-0, 6-0, while Maria Dorski bested Daniel Rasey 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 and Sarah May won over Kaayli McCarthy 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3.

Karyn Schmidt and Morgan Schaeffer secured the lone point for the Chargers at the No. 1 doubles position with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Giselle Spadaro and Noel DeRiso, while Collette DeRiso and Makenna Myers bested the team of Sammie Jamison and Sam Imus at No. 2, 6-2, 6-2.

The loss drops Edison's record to 1-7 overall and 0-5 in the SBC.

At Upper Sandusky, Norwalk took all three singles matches in straight sets.

Olivia Kasten bested Olivia Frey at No. 1, 6-0, 6-2, while Jaclynn Hipp defeated Jordan Coakley 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 and Jacqueline McClune won over Elyse Scheck at No. 3, 6-2, 6-2.

"The ladies played very well on all courts after a long bus ride," Norwalk coach Chris Higgins said. "Olivia, Jaclynn and Jacqueline continued to roll at the singles spots."

In doubles play, Caleigh Ott and Allison Loden bested Kelsey Collins and Keera Saylor, 7-6 (3), 7-5 at No. 1 while Hali Sindlinger and Aubrey Cook defeated Brittany Lemaster and Kayla Thornton, 6-3, 7-5 at the No. 2 position.

"The doubles teams fought hard and were victorious by sticking to their gameplans," said Higgins, "Hali and Aubrey continue to play well as a team unit. Caleigh and Allison winning the first set tiebreaker gave them momentum to win the second set."
