The area was well-represented on the all-Ohio softball team by the Coaches Association.
Three area players were named first team.
Edison senior pitcher Susan Knight was a repeat selection in Division III. The Cleveland State recruit led the Lady Chargers to a coaches poll title and state semifinal appearance.
Also, in Division III, New London sophomore Cassidy Wise was a first-team choice. The pitcher paced the Ladycats to another Firelands Conference title.
Other all-Ohio area selections included New London catcher Josie Hall and Edison catcher KayLee Fox.
In Division II, Bellevue’s Hannah Lilly was a first-team all-state choice.
Lilly’s teammate, freshman Carly Santoro, earned second-team all-Ohio honors in Division II.
Vermilion junior AuBree LaForce grabbed second-team accolades at outfield in Division II.
And Perkins’ Kelsey Yaratch, an infielder, roundied out the area all-Ohio selections.
