Post 83 takes second at Blissfield Tournament

BLISSFIELD, Mich. — The Sandusky American Legion Post 83 baseball team finished up a busy weekend at the Blissfield Tournament in Michigan with a 5-1 record after splitting two games Sunday.

Post 83 won its semifinal against Whitehouse, 10-3, before a 15-6 loss in five innings to the tournamentchampion Michigan Jets.

Dalton Jarvis (Bellevue) threw the first four inning and allowed three runs with two strikeouts, while Trey Keegan (Sandusky 2011), who had two strikeouts and didn’t allow any runs, came on for the final two innings and the win.

Alex Manner (Bellevue) doubled twice, drove in a team-high three runs and scored three times for Post 83. Keegan helped his own cause offensively with four hits and two RBIs.

Kyle Fluharty (Willard) singled twice and scored.
