Sandusky’s Mitchell Rice walked off with the championship with a personal best one-over-par 73 during Monday's Thunderbird Hills North Junior Open at Thunderbird Hills Golf Club.
Rice won the boys' 17-19 age group.
In the boys’ 14-16 age group, Sandusky’s Nick Kinzel and Bellevue’s Dylan DeWitt tied for honors with 76s. Kinzel had 38-38 and DeWitt 39-37.
They had a sudden-death playoff and DeWitt posted a par on the 510-yard No. 1 hole to win the title over Kinzel who had a three-putt green for a bogey six.
