Kyle Fluharty stayed unbeaten on the mound, and the Sandusky American Legion Post 83 squad closed out its home tournament Sunday by beating Millcreek, Pa., for the second time in as many days.
Fluharty threw six innings and struck out five batters in the 5-2 win at Perkins High School on the final day of the Bob Kowalk Classic. Post 83 finished the weekend with a 4-1 record.
After allowing a run in the top of the first, Fluharty (Willard) settled and kept Millcreek scoreless until he was done for the day. Post 83 lended a hand with some run support, scoring twice in the bottom half of the first before adding three more in the sixth.
The nine hits were from nine different players.
Trey Keegan (Sandusky 2011) had an RBI double in the win.
