Wednesday was Sandusky Post 83's turn to have a forgetful night in a 5-0 loss to Findlay.

Sandusky (22-7) committed six errors -- four in the third inning -- that led to all five of Findlay's runs.

"The intensity wasn't there until the fifth inning, which shows we're not good enough to wait that long to turn it on," Post 83 coach Mike Shepherd said. "We have to bring it every game, every inning."

Starter Dalton Jarvis (Bellevue) went three innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits. He struck out two and walked three. The fateful third inning started off with three consecutive errors to two batters, including one on a throw to second.

Findlay strung together three straight singles that found holes in the infield, and it was quickly a 5-0 lead.

Offensively, it wasn't Post 83's day against Findlay starter Nick Bowden. Through five innings, Sandusky managed just a pair of infield singles from Nick Butler (Huron) and Mike Drake (Sandusky 2011). Logan Shullick (Norwalk 2011) added a single in the sixth inning, but a line-out double play ended any threat.
