It's time for a break.

After playing 22 games in 17 days, the Sandusky American Legion Post 83 baseball team is off today and Tuesday.

It is a much-needed break after Sunday's 6-5 loss in nine innings to visiting Maumee at Perkins High School.

Sandusky (25-9) rallied from a 4-2 deficit with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 5-4 lead, but two errors in the top of the ninth led to two runs, allowing the visitors to come away with the win.

Evan Bader (Norwalk) started for Post 83 and allowed two earned runs on two hits in five innings.

He struck out three and walked six.

Trey Keegan (Sandusky) was saddled with the loss despite not allowing an earned run. He allowed one hit and struck out one, but walked three.

Offensively, Logan Shullick (Norwalk) added a double and Thane Walton (Perkins) singled.

Alex Manner (Bellevue) finished with two hits.
