Just enough, and not quite enough.

The Sandusky American Legion Post 83 baseball team mustered just enough offense to beat Napoleon 3-2 in eight innings Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader.

However, the local contingent was almost no-hit in a 1-0 loss to finish the day with a split while falling to 26-10 overall.

Kyle Fluharty (Willard) pitched a gem for Post 83. He gave up only three hits, walked three and struck out six.

Logan Shullick (Norwalk) and Luke Fraley (Perkins) each finished the game with two singles. Butler finished with a single, a double and an RBI.

In Game 2, Napoleon scratched out a two-out RBI single in the fifth inning for the game’s lone run.

In the sixth, Trey Keegan (Sandusky) had a one-out double for Post 83’s only hit.
