Another chapter was added to the 2012 rivalry between the Sandusky American Legion Post 83 baseball team and the team from Whitehouse.

In the championship game of the Adrian Classic on Sunday in Michigan, another battle between the two Ohio teams went to Whitehouse as it scored a 10-2 win in six innings to take home the title, and deny Post 83 a repeat at the tournament.

Sandusky opened with a 9-1 win over host Adrian in the semifinals to reach the title game. Dalton Jarvis (Bellevue) pitched five innings, allowing one run on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk.

Leading 4-0, Post 83 scored five runs in the fourth, mostly on Adrian miscues. Adrian outhit Sandusky 4-3, but lost mainly because of four errors.

Six of the nine runs in the game for Post 83 came on passed balls.

Lucas Will (Sandusky and Trey Keegan (Sandusky) each had singles to join Seth Bryant (Perkins) as the lone hitters in the win.
