Edison and Jackson-Milton were tied for No. 4 in Division III in the first coaches' poll released last week, but the Chargers proved superior with a 49-20 win over the Bluejays in a quad with Clear Fork and Genoa in Milan.

Edison won 10 of 13 classes against Jackson-Milton, forfeiting the heavyweight match. The Chargers won 103 to 119 and swept through the classes from 140 to 215.

The Chargers also took down Genoa, winning nine of 13 classes they wrestled.

As a team, the Chargers surrendered only one pin on the day.

"We only have two seniors on the team -- We're still really young, believe it or not," Hermes said. "We're looking at a bright future."

Jude Michel, Dalton Howard and Cam Michel swept 103 to 119 in both of Edison's duals, combining for five pins and one tech fall.

At 103, Jude pinned Genoa's Seth Morrison late in the second period, and Jackson-Milton's Mickey Trimboli in just 36 seconds. Dalton Howard pinned Genoa's Adam Klavinger 14 seconds into the third round and Jackson-Milton's Jake Tharp in 1:48. Cam Michel took both 119 matches for Edison with wins over Genoa's Max Reeder (pin in 3:12) and J-M's Jake Armstrong (15-0 tech fall).

The Chargers got pairs of wins from Tyler Majoy at 140 and Kyle Burns at 145 as well as Jordan Cole and Zach Rutherford at 160 and 171, respectively.

Edison travels to the North Canton Holiday Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
