The hosts had a tough time overall in the two Sandusky Bay Conference boys quad golf matches Thursday.
Huron entertained Port Clinton, Perkins and St. Mary Central Catholic at Sawmill Creek, while Oak Harbor went against Clyde, Edison and Margaretta at the Oak Harbor Golf Club course.
At stake were six possible points for the Tigers and Rockets — two for each win over the three opponents faced.
The lowest overall round of the day was turned in by Clyde senior Garret Rupert with a one-under-par 35 on Oak Harbor’s front nine.
Margaretta senior Tyler Smith was next in line with a 37, also at Oak Harbor.
At Huron, Perkins had the best team score of 157.
Perkins senior Nate Foss and Port Clinton sophomore Shane Meek shared medalist honors on the tough par 35 front nine with three-over-par 38s.
Port Clinton raised its conference mark to 4-0 with the win over Huron and the Pirates are 2-0.
SMCC also had some pretty good scores.
Tanner Roth had the low round at 43.
Alex Bixler had the low round for Edison a 39.
