Fans voted Jake Fetherolf, of Norwalk, as the Week 1 Fandy.com Football Player of the Week, brought to you by Norwalk Heating & Air.
Fetherolf went 16-of-22 for 391 yards and four touchdowns in Norwalk's 64-21 win over Edison.
Fetherolf picked up 5,790 votes, good for 56 percent
Oak Harbor's Mark Konieczny had 4,465 votes (43 percent) and Port Clinton's Addison Rospert checked in with 136 (one percent).
Starting with Week 2, there wil also be htree nominations for a volleyball Player of the Week to vote on.
In an effort to keep our voting contests fair, the Player of the Week contest will be limited to 10 votes per day per sport per cell phone. Don't forget to vote daily for your favorite athletes!
