Monroeville and Edison may not have full teams, but they are certainly flexing their muscles in the Division III wrestling Duals at the "Den" in Sandusky.

Both teams put up 5-0 records in the first day of competition at St. Mary Central Catholic Friday and await a head-to-head match at 1:30 p.m. today that could very well decide the champion of the 18-team field.

However, both coaches know their teams have plenty of work ahead with five more matches on the agenda, the first at 10 a.m.

Monroeville, the defending small-school state champion, forfeited four weight classes for the mostpart, and still posted wins over Delta (41-39), Versailles (41-33), Arcadia (51-27), Tifin Calvert (57-12) and Montpelier (57-6)

Edison was impressive with victories over Sandy Valley (37-27), Cuyahoga Heights (63-12), Archbold (33-26), Norwayne (68-12) and Cincinnati Reading (50-27) despite giving up 12 points with forfeits in each match

Edison and Monroeville locked horns in the Edison Invite earlier this season, and the Chargers captured the title, but this marks the first dual match for the area powers.
