Mark K  from Oak Harbor 35 carries for 244 yards desrves to be nominated. Why isn't a defensive player ever nominated?

Mark K was nominated during Week 1 and won second place. www.fandy.com/node/1480491

It would be nice to see some area defensive players nominated.  I'm a true believer defense wins games but unfortunately the trend is whoever scores the most points is nominated which is a QB,RB or WR.
