Perkins' Rachel Mulvin finished 10th for the Pirates in Wednesday's Division II state diving competition at C.T. Branin Natatorium at McKinley High School in Canton.
Mulvin scored a 148.20 in the prelims for 15th overall and edged up to 12th in the semifinals with a score of 240.60.
Mulvin's Pirates teammate, Kori Penrod, made her third trip to the state diving competition, finishing 15th with a score of 319.20 after the finals, just .6 points out of 14th place. Penrod was 11th as a sophomore in 2009 and 13th as a junior last season.
Port Clinton's Erin Seefus, making her first appearance in the state diving competition, was 18th overall with a score of 135.45 after her first dive and 219.70 after her semifinal dive.
Natalie Ritter of Gahanna Columbus Academy won the girls event with an aggregate score of 454.80. In 2010, Ritter was runner-up to Nikki Craft, the three-time state champion (and state record-holder) from Bay.
Margaretta junior Tyler Beekman finished 19th overall with a score through two dives of 229.10 in his second career appearance at state. Last season, as a sophomore, Beekman was 10th in the state.
Danny Moorehead of Cincinnati Hill Christian Academy won the Division II boys event with a score through three dives of 432.35.
