Sandusky's Mike Brown was nervous before his match against Vandalia Butler's Tanner Wright in the opening round of the Division I state tournament Thursday.

When the match started, his nerves went away.

"(The coaches) just told me to wrestle like I know how," Brown said. "It was like any other old match. I was nervous, though, with butterflies, but I just came out to wrestle."

The Sandusky junior scored a 16-3 win over Wright, dominating the match from wire to wire.

"I did kind of forget (where I was), though, when I was wrestling him," Brown said. "Once I won, I looked up at everyone and they rose my hand. (Today) I'll be relieved. It's kind of like football after a few plays, the butterflies go away. I think that's the same concept: (After) the first match, the butterflies will go away."
