Oak Harbor coach George Bergman admits it: He was being greedy.
He wanted as much success for his wrestlers as he could have. He wanted everyone to place and to defend his Division II state runner-up title.
But did Bergman imagine that four of his wrestlers would make it to the raised mats tonight, wrestling for state championships?
In his words: No. Absolutely not.
"When we went three for three (in 2008) and had three in the finals, I thought, 'That'll never happen again.' To get four in the finals ...," he said, trailing off.
"Like they say, it's surreal. You're in a dream and you hope you don't wake up."
The five remaining Rockets -- Tyler Hackworth, Ian Miller, Konner Witt and Jake Cramer in the championship round, and Alex Bergman in the consolation round -- went an improbable 10-0 on Friday.
