Devin Bermudez broke a 12-year old record on Saturday at the 15th Avon Lake Invite as Perkins finished third overall.
Bermudez finished the 300-meter hurdles in 39.41 seconds, breaking the previous record (a 39.60 by Southview's Jevan Willis), and also won the 110 hurdles in 15.19 seconds.
The Perkins boys had 93 points and finished behind Avon Lake and Lorain in the standings, while Bellevue was fifth with 52 points.
In the girls meet, Perkins tied with Martin Luther King Jr. and North with 30 points.
