I know, its Tuesday, which is way past a timely blog post on a football game that happened Friday night. But it has been a busy weekend.
Friday night I covered two games; Clyde at Bellevue and then I took the 113 option from Bellevue to Milan to catch the second half of Wellington at Edison. Usually I can only stay for the third quarter of the second game and then I drive back to the paper to make deadline. In this game I stayed a couple minutes into the fourth quarter and it looked like Wellington had the game in hand. They were running the ball a lot and eating a lot of clock. So I left.
If you have been to the pixboard event of this game you won't find the 80 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Zach Yovanov to running back Jimmie Beres. That was about the time I was getting to my car to drive my photos to the paper.
What you will find is the rest of the game as well as the post-game celebration as I came back after hearing the crowd go wild for the big touchdown.
