Wednesday highlights: Oct. 26

VOLLEYBALL

• Norwalk 3, Lexington 1: 25-12, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21. Norwalk took four sets to take care of Lexington in Wednesday's district semifinal, earning a second match against Mansfield Madison in the district finals. Norwalk defeated Madison in a regular-season meeting.
• Mans. Madison 3, Perkins 0: 25-10, 25-16, 25-9.
• Edison 3, Upper Sandusky 0: 25-22, 25-19, 25-23. The Chargers looked a little softer than coach Sean Hoover would have liked in a three-set victory over the Rams Wednesday in a Division III district semifinal at Buckeye Central. Edison will play Wynford, which outlasted Huron in the other district semifinal.
• Bucyrus Wynford 3, Huron 2: 23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-22, 15-10.

BOYS SOCCER

• Lexington 4, Port Clinton 3: The Minutemen scored on a corner kick in the final minute of the second overtime to defeat the Redskins. Sandusky Bay Conference-champion Port Clinton finished 16-2, with their only other loss this season coming to Norwalk, 4-2.
• Norwalk 2, Madison 0: The Norwalk boys (13-1-3) advanced to the Division I district championship with a 2-0 win over Mansfield Madison Wednesday. Norwalk's Zach Tanzillo scored one goal and assisted the other, both in the first half. The Truckers will face Perrysburg (15-1-2) 6 p.m. Saturday at Lexington.
