A brief look at Wednesday's college signings:
COLLEGE SIGNINGS
- Port Clinton state champion swimmer MacKenzie Stewart signed a letter of intent Wednesday to swim for Virginia Tech. Stewart won the 200 IM as a sophomore in February 2010 for the Redskins’ first and only title so far.
- Edison pitcher Susan Knight committed to play softball at Cleveland State. Knight looked at several different offers before going with the Vikings, where she felt most comfortable.
- Chargers middle hitter Abbey Cox will play college volleyball at Clarion (Pa.) University, joining 2009 Edison graduate Emily Stewart. The Golden Eagles compete in Division II.
- Perkins’ Jordan Fraley signed Wednesday to play basketball at the Tiffin University. Fraley is a two-time second team all-Northwest District selection and two-time all-state honorable mention.
