I had the opportunity check out my first Ohio State basketball game in person Sunday.
I think the Buckeyes will get in the tournament, despite some losses, but what concerns me is the lack of energy they showed against Indiana. It was a great atmosphere. The crowd was into it. It was a White Out. A ranked team was playing at Value City Arena. The 1968 team which advanced to the Final Four was honored. Of course, it would have helped if the Buckeyes could hit a shot in the first half. Also, OSU played the majority of the game on the perimeter, shooting just 7-of-27 (26 percent) from three-point range. Indiana's defense did a good job, but the Buckeyes need more of an inside game if they have aspirations of reaching the NCAA Tournament.
It's never too early to talk March Madness.
