What's the shortest time you have stayed at a professional sporting event?
My personal record was set Wednesday night as I made it through three innings of the Indians' second game with Chicago. There's something about metal bleachers and 30 degree temperatures that just don't mix. Perhaps a seat cushion would have been a smart addition to my coat, hat and gloves. I may be able to find a Fandy.com version around here somewhere.
Wow, was it cold. It reminded me of a trip we made to a Mud Hens game one year and it was just as cold. At the time, a player of the opposing team would be picked as the strikeout player of the game. And if he struck out, everyone in a particular section got free ice cream. Which is the equivalent of free chili on the beach. But you have to eat it, it's free.
But Fausto looked good, how many double-play balls was that? And hopefully the next game I attend in May is a bit warmer. I guess I should be thankful there wasn't a blizzard during this year's series opener. But for $16, I got my money's worth, even if it was only for three innings.
