i received an alert about an obscene post the other day, which led to the deletion of a bunch of personal attack posts. It also left me wondering if some of you think it's funny to be hurtful and obscene, or you just get really brave when you don't have to attach your names to the posts. in either case, it's not fun and is hurtful and unnecessary. i was bumping around on the canton repository website and found these ground rules for posting, which i think makes a lot of sense so i want to nicely ask all of you to follow: 1. Keep it clean. 2. Stay on topic. 3. Be honest and accurate. 4. Don't threaten anyone. It's against the law and bad manners. 5. No personal attacks. Don't bash anyone based on their race, creed, heritage, or orientation. 6. Don't say anything here you wouldn't say in front of your mother at the dinner table. 7. Email us at scoreboard@sanduskyregister.com when you spot a rule violation. (but please don't report comments just because you disagree.) i would appreciate it if we could please put these common sense ground rules to use on fandy.com. and if not, i would respectfully ask anyone considering an obscene or attack post to take that garbage somewhere else. dan
