it was today at the fremont ross invite, clyde was the only D2 school there, everyone else was D1 and there were some very good athletes which gave clyde a pretty tough challenge. and im not exactly sure but i think the time was a 3:22, cook ran a 49.5 split. i think they could beat it by more, but ryan sharf just got done with the 300 hurdles, then the shuttle hurdles, he still had a 51.8 split. im not sure on the other splits either.

He is amazing at the 300m hurdles he ran a 40.5 today. thats is crazy for a sophmore. He is very close to the recored. He should be an sbc shamp.

Im a Flier, You guys are putting out state quality numbers right now...6'8 high jump, low 3:20's 4x400, low 22's 200...The list of PR's just keeps getting better. Nobody is even peaking yet...Those are just fantastic times! I'm waiting for your 4x200 to go off next! Congratulations!

Other schools at Fremont Invite
By worndo (Freshman) on Sat, 05/10/2008 - 20:34
Clyde may have been the only D2 school, but everyone else wasn't D1. I know Old Fort (D3) was there and I believe there were other non D1 schools. Does anyone know if results are posted online anywhere?

When he jumped 6'8" he cleared the bar by 3 or 4 inches.

There were seven D1 teams
By DuckOfDeath (Junior Varsity) on Sat, 05/10/2008 - 22:13
Running against seven D1 teams was just what the Doctor ordered for Clyde. Nearly every kid ran or jumped their personal best for the day. I believe that Justin Cook high jumped 6'9" today. Sandusky was there and their sprinters are for real. Daylin Moore ran a 14.2 FAT 110 hurdles. He is a possible state champ in that event. Clyde's 4X400 was incredible today. Even with the great competition they still won by a ton.

the 4x2 is about to explode. they just ran there best time all year with out there 3rd fastest kid on the team in the 2. and with having the new team the hand-offs were a little sloppy but can be worked on and down for districts and so on for some time crimmings Justin Cook did jump 6'9 liget and measured which gives him the best jump is all of ohio division II still the 4x4 not being pushed to there limit. a very good competition for the 4x4 but they still won by at least 20-30 meters. there time just keeps falling every meet and when it comes down to it i could see them funning in the 3:22's kade kramer has a great chance to make it to state in the 200 and still has room to grow.

I talked to Cook earlier and he actually said he was happy there was no competition because if there were 3 runners that kept up with clyde there is no telling what the anchor for the other team could run! As far as high jump, i did watch as he cleared 6'9" by 2 inches. he attempted 6'10" with a 6'9" jump lol if he can get those flipped around he could be standing on the podium at the state level.

6'9"" is getting up there...
By Tiger Dad (Junior Varsity) on Thu, 05/15/2008 - 11:00
6'9" is really a nice jump. I think Springer from Huron won state a couple of times at 6'8". The kid from Napolean goes 6'9" also, so we could see some nice jumping at regionals. Bird from Perkins can go 6'4" and maybe a little more. That's a nice effort from a guy that stands 5'9"

6'9" will deffiently be a contendment for a win this year. and for the fliers 4x4 it is nice to have just about an even amount wiht the split times. but lol if you think about it, if somebody gets the boton to there fourth runner before cook does he will pry be in trouble b/c most likely there last guy is spliting low 50's to 49's which is what cook splits.
