Lexington walked away from Wednesday’s quad at Perkins with Bellevue and Northwood with a pair of victories, while the Pirates and Redmen both finished 1-1 on the day.

The Pirates won six weight classes against Lexington, but the Minutemen scored the full six points in all but two of their individual victories. Perkins’ Derek Wolf scored a 5-0 victory at 106, but the Pirates’ next winner was in the 132-pound weight class as 2010 state qualifier Bryon Logan scored an 18-4 major decision. In the 138-pound class, Nathan Salmon followed up for the Pirates by pinning Lexington’s Robby Rau in 1:35, and Perkins’ Cam Campbell scored a 9-0 major decision. Perkins’ John Workman and Jervaughn Eppse scored pins at 195 and 285.

Perkins and Bellevue both won landslides against under-manned Northwood, which saw more than 10 wrestlers quit over Thanksgiving break. The Rangers showed up with just four weight classes filled.

Bellevue scored four victories in the match against Lexington, with wins from veterans Damon Cheek (138), Dilan Buckner (160) and Brendan Adkinson (182), plus freshman Grant Moyer (285).
