GIRLS BASKETBALLNorwalk 53, Huron 29: Norwalk's Hannah Schneider led her team to a 53-29 win over Huron Saturday in Huron. Norwalk (2-2) took a 27-13 lead at the half and extended it with a 14-5 third quarter. Jocelyn Thomas scored 14 and Lindsey Ziemke eight for Norwalk, while Ashley Myers led Huron (0-4) with seven points. WRESTLINGPolar Bears win pair of duals: Margaretta scored dual victories Thursday night against Seneca East, 42-33, and Tiffin Calvert, 48-22. The Bears' dual against Seneca East came down to the final wrestler, freshman Devon Taylor. The Bears led by three team points when Taylor stepped up for his bout, and he sealed the win with a second-round pin.
SWIMMINGPerkins sweeps Oak Harbor: The Pirates swept all but one event, including every race, in a dual against the Rockets Thursday night. The girls won a 133-53 decision and the boys won 104-79. Port Clinton girls, St. Mary CC boys win tri-meet: The Port Clinton girls scored lopsided wins in a tri-meet against St. Mary CC and Fremont St. Joseph.
