I was driving to Cleveland the other day and was listening to a radio station fusing about the reception for Omar Vizquel the other night at Progressive Field. The host and most callers/e-mailers were fine with how the whole thing played out, but there were a few who considered a bit too much for a guy who hasn't played with the Indians in four seasons. That got me thinking. First, it's a given I need to find something better to listen to when I'm driving. But other than that, I guess I think the reception was a bit over the top. I totally understand the pre-game tribute. Omar was VERY popular and deserved it. But I think the point the radio guy was making was the big ovation for Vizquel's RBI squeeze bunt in the eighth inning which ended up as the insurance run in the Giants' 3-2 win. Now that's too much. So what do you think?
