St. Mary CC held Danbury to four points after halftime and Lindsay Kaatz scored 24 points in a 49-20 win Tuesday night.

SMCC relied on its experience against an overmatched Lakers team, which got 16 points from Erin Lavelle.

The Panthers enter Saturday's game with Clyde on a two-game win streak, and head coach Becky Babione hopes the win can give her team some poise when they play the state-ranked Fliers.

"I'm hoping we can take this momentum and go into Clyde. I think we're a different team now that the first time. I know they are too, but I'm really hoping we can put up a much better fight against them," Babione said. "We kind of walked in heads down the first time we played team thinking we didn't have a chance."

The Fliers won the first game on Dec. 10, 64-36, at Clyde.
